Registration/Orientation

Registration/Orientation

·         To register, prospective students must appear in person at the Spokane Gun Club on the Registration Dates noted in the schedule above.  No other type of registration is available.

·         Slots available on a “first come, first served” basis on Registration Day only when the doors open for registration at 5:30pm.  Activities on this date, beginning at 6:00pm, in addition to registration and receiving the class manual and other material, are considered part of the regular class and no students will be added that are not present on registration night

·         20 student maximum per class.

·         There is no age limit to take this class.  However, our experience has proven that students under 10 years of age are most prone to fail.  At a minimum, students must be able to safely handle and fire a youth model 20-gauge shotgun.  Prospective students with small statures may be required to demonstrate they can shoulder the firearm before being accepted as a student.

·         Prospective class members must attend the registration session.  A parent or legal guardian must accompany prospective class members that are 17 years old and younger to the registration session.

·         There is not fee for this class.  A voluntary donation will gladly be accepted to help defray supply costs.

·         Registered students are required to attend all class and range/field sessions.  No exceptions will be made.

Other information

·         A parent or legal guardian must accompany students that are 11 years old and younger, to each class session.

·         Who is required to take this class?  To purchase a Washington State hunting license, persons born on or after January 1, 1972 must have successfully completed this class.

·         How can I find information on other classes?  Most classes for 2010 are published in the 2010 “Washington Outdoors pamphlet now available at most sporting goods stores. Updated schedule information is posted on the WDFW web-site, “www.wdfw.wa.gov”.  Follow the links to Education.
